Community involvement and family come first to these hopeful adoptive parents! Micheal is a police officer at a NEA School, while Katie is a local attorney. This couple is very active in church attending every Sunday and special activities. Marko, Micheal's retired police partner is a German Shepard that enjoys relaxing on the couch when he is home alone. Lucy, is the family cocker spaniel, and the queen of the house. The family plans to send their child to public school but realizes a child may need a specific schooling and they are open to what environment their child would best thrive in. This couple met in court early on in their careers and got to know each other through mutual friends. They dated 6 months before tying the knot in 2021 in New Orleans. Katie loves Christmas so when they returned home they had a big Christmas themed wedding reception, complete with Santa Claus! Holidays are celebrated BIG in their family, and Christmas is always lived to the fullest. They celebrate with a Christmas tree in every room, annual Christmas pictures, Christmas cookies, Christmas Pajamas, and most of all FAMILY. Micheal and Katie have attempted to conceive on their own and then with a doctors assistance, with no success. When being told they would need more treatment they decided on the adoption route instead of fertility treatments. When Micheal is not working he enjoys hunting, fishing, St Louis Cardinals, Memphis grizzlies, traveling, and grilling. Katie enjoys traveling, shopping, spin classes, reading, cooking, and event planning. As a family they have one to two big trips a year to the beach and frequent ball games to their favorite teams. They also enjoy floating the current river during the summers. If they can't get out of town, they maybe caught sneaking chic-fila into the Malco for a fun night out. This couple have an open mind about the relationship with the expecting/birth mother and what whatever is comfortable for both parties. There is a full nursery available in their home that is ready at any moment for a baby of any gender. When asked about their perspective on adoption they said, "We promise to love this child, teach, help he or she grow and achieve all of their goals. We want this child to know that although this world is big, our love for them is bigger."
